Forum for Women Entrepreneurs Gala

Posted by pauloneal

Our Contribution

In 2018, Canadian Mattress Recycling donated over $200 worth of silent auction prizes to the Forum of Women Entrepreneurs’ fundraising gala. We offered our recycling services for this important cause supporting female entrepreneurs.

The Odium Brown Gala

The Odium Brown Gala, where our donation was given, featured three businesses started by women. At the event, they competed for the grand prize: $25,000. Tickets for the event raised money for the charity.

Businesses Squiggle Park, Flytographer, and AVA Technologies pitched their business in front of an audience. In the end, Flytographer took home the $25,000 prize. All in all, the event raised $75,000 for charity.

Kamloops Humane Society

Posted by pauloneal

Formed back in 1993, the Kamloops Humane Society has protected dogs, cats, and other companion animals, and enabled them to live healthier, happier lives with their owners. For every dollar the organization receives, 97 cents are spent on veterinary care, pet food, and supplies for these companions animals. The organization is ran by volunteers who are passionate about ensuring that dogs, cats, and other animals are given the loving lives they deserve. In 2017, Canadian Mattress Recycling donated $350 towards the Kamloops Humane Society.

Evans Lake Forest Education Society

Situated 15 km north of Squamish, BC., Evans Lake Forest Education Society is the camp and outdoor education facility to be. Since the 1960s, the non-profit charity has championed outdoor education in British Columbia, providing an accessible experience for children, teens, and youths. With summer and winter camps, and school programs, the society has instilled in children an appreciation for the outdoors, nature, and the environment.

At Canadian Mattress Recycling, we are pleased to have donated $500.00 in 2017 to Evans Lake Forest Education Society. Our donation assisted the purchase of a new washing machine for their camp.
